Digital transition
Part of the New Evangelization, the digital age is studded with the omnipresence of the Internet, data, cloud, algorithms and IoT, which opens countless possibilities for developing the creativity of faith and proclaiming the centrality of Jesus Christ; in fact, accumulating information without using it to effectively grow the Kingdom of Heaven can sometimes oppose the vocation to transcendence of every human being.
GlobalIntegral subscribes to any involvement of disciple-missionaries in the digital transition which takes into account kairos, discernment of the signs of the times, spherical inculturation and synodality.
It is about moving from the stage of development, vision, scenario to the implementation in reality of interactive and connected digital tools; this digitalization of the Church makes it possible to improve, in any dedicated space, the digital experience associated with faith and to value all cultures, all contexts and all legitimate diversities.
The maximization of any digital process to promote interactions, dialogue, education and ongoing training and the use of AI and its potential as a catalyst to bring about new applications and better respond with agility and flexibility to any type of demand in terms of qualitative understanding of faith are required.
Being aware of the digital environmental impact and climate change with its necessary adjustments, any digital strategy must be implemented with adapted digital solutions in order to promote attraction to the Church and to optimize the journey of faith; in addition, social networks can be used as channels of benevolent influence to encourage support for the message of the Good News of the Gospel.
The incessant mobility of people all over the planet, globalized urbanization and the diversity of contexts with their multiple socio-cultural mutations sometimes lead to the shifting boundaries of ecclesial territories.
As a result, digital transformation requires a creative and flexible missionary approach which leads to the implementation of new faith experiences and which addresses the obsolescence and incessant ruptures produced by continuous and rapid technological evolution and innovations by generating digital content adapted to the complexity of the contextual, cultural and existential spheres of the world.
The Church, a network made up of different, unique people who cooperate together in synergy to bring their talents to the service of the ultimate destiny of every human being in the globalized world, is engaged in this digital transition in constant motion.
